Surprisingly, Roam Research offers no free plan. Not at all.
Compared to that, Obsidian is very generous. For personal use, it’s all free. Sounds like an awesome deal, but there’s a catch. You need to subscribe to a $8-per-month service called Obsidian Sync for between-device synchronization, or you can roll your own. You also need to subscribe to yet another $8-per-month service called Obsidian Publish to publish your data. Collaboration using these seems limited in that it does not offer conflict resolution, unless you use Github as a backend.
RemNote offers a free plan, but to take advantage of collaboration, you need to subscribe to a $8-per-month Pro plan or higher.
